Here vintage 1976 Yamaha Studio Lord, SL-380, a great example of a Japanese Yamaha Les Paul model from the 1970’s. Made in Japan, these guitars were produced during the 1970s and early 1980s, together with the well known Yamaha SG range;
This Yamaha SL was produced in the famous Matsumoku Factory and was deemed one of the typical examples of the Les Paul (SL/LP) range, effortlessly exceeding their equivalent Gibson counterparts, in fact testing it along a 1977 Gibbo LP standard, it just eats it…!! The guitar sports a solid body, fitted with a bolted neck, chrome hardware, dual Yamaha Humbuckers. The guitar body is decorated with mother of pearl fret markers and cream coloured binding that has aged to a creamy hue. Guitar has seen use and has acquired scratches and general wear, adding to the character of the instrument and giving it an attractive patina and clear mojo. Lives in its gig-bag. Weight of guitar approx. 3.8 Kgs, neck width at nut approx. 4.4 cm.
