The first in the Super Flighter series made in Japan by Yamaha from 1977 to 1980, these guitars are sought after by many people worldwide. The guitar has a 24-fret bolt on neck into a solid body, well crafted and well balanced. It has two powerful hum-bucker pickups each with independent volume and tone controls, however the SF-500 doesn’t feature the coil-tap option like the SF-1000 does. Good quality chrome hardware and tuners, versatile and solid, and accurate. The oil stain is a great finish and shows up gorgeously in bright light, showing the underlying maho wood with a quality overall look.
The guitar sustain is amazing, even for a bolt on neck. Being over 38 years old, the guitar is fairly clean and has some genuine play wear marks to show for. This guitar is a brilliantly kitted out for a mix of blues/classic rock playing, rhythm and lead. The low action makes even for a good shredder, easy and accurate. Comes with gig bag.
