Following the departure of Gibson from the Kalamazoo factory in Michigan, ex employees from the old Gibson factory continued to make guitars in the plant and named the brand “Heritage” . This is the Heritage H-140, a ” Les Paul” type guitar with essentially a les Paul Standard body shape, but considerably thinner and lighter. Also the lower horn has a sharper cut out, unlike the next model the H-150 which resembles more a Classic Les Paul or a Standard. Sound wise, it is an excellent guitar, which is able to make a valve amp thunder or scream or both. Guitar is a lovely understated gold top. Lives in its Heritage case.
