Following the departure of Gibson from the Kalamazoo factory in Michigan, ex employees from the old Gibson factory continued to make guitars in the plant and named the brand “Heritage” . This is the Heritage H-150, a ” Les Paul” type guitar with essentially a les Paul Standard body shape, and built in 2000. The H-150 model along the H-140 models were examples of Les Paul style guitars. These were believed to be more like true Les Pauls, resembling the ‘bursts’ as the late 1960s Gibson Les Paul standards were called. In the H-150, the lower horn has a more rounded cut out, unlike the next model the H-140 which has a much sharper horn and flatter body. Sound wise, it is an excellent guitar, which is able to make a valve amp thunder or scream or both. Guitar has a lovely flame top and lives in its Heritage case.
