Up for sale a vintage Yamaha Lord Player, LP-400, a brilliant example of a Japanese Yamaha version of the Les Paul model from the 1980’s. Made in Japan, these guitars were produced during the 1970s and early 1980s, together with the well known Yamaha SG range; which was made famous by guitarists like Carlos Santana, Phil Manzanera, Al DiMeola, John McGeogh, Stuart Adamson, Bob Marley, Andy Taylor and many more….This Yamaha LP was produced in Yamaha’s Matsumoku’s Factories and was deemed one of the great examples of the Les Paul (SL/LP) range, effortlessly exceeding the most of the Gibson counterparts, in fact testing it along a 1977 Gibbo LP standard, it just eats it…!!
The guitar sports a solid body, fitted with a set neck, chrome hardware, dual metal covered Yamaha Humbuckers. The guitar body is decorated with mother of pearl fret markers and cream coloured binding that has beautifully aged to a cream yellow hue. Guitar has seen use and has acquired some minor scratches and other wear, however, this all adds to the character of the instrument and give it real patina and mojo. Comes with its gig-bag.
