WAL Basses

The WAL bass has started its inception in the early 1970s with founders Ian Waller and Pete Stevenson. Based in High Wycombe the Electric Wood Co as the maker of the WAL is called is producing a variety of these in comic guitars. Over the years the WAL, with its revolutionary  design and electronics is a well respected acccessiry on stage and in the studio. Notable WAL players included John Entwhistle and Paul McCartney. Below are a few of the WALs in my collection

WAL Mk 1, Geddy Lee model, 1981, made for Juergen Dehmel of Nena. All custom black with 22-ct gilded hardware. Started life as fretless, frets applied later.
