New to my collection and a mate of the rare green Yamaha SG-2000s, a stunning Yamaha SG-2000s in translucent cherry sunburst, it came in excellent , near mint collector grade condition. Of all the Yamaha SGs, this is no doubt one of the most wanted versions of the desirable Yamaha SG-2000 model. This guitar is a real gem, plays like a dream, light and fluid.
The guitar is quite heavy, with a genuine thru body neck that shows up beautifully in the dark red, brass sustain plate under the bridge and an ebony fret-board with abalone split wing fret markers. This particular model unlike its SG-2000 counterparts, has been factory kitted out with coil taps, giving an enormous tonal range and variation. The guitar came with original case, and accessory tools and Yamaha labelled guitar cloth. Weight of guitar approx. 4.4 Kgs, neck width at nut approx. 4.3 cm.
