Since 1966, Yamaha has been making electric guitars, of which the Les Paul like models were only a minor component. These early LP like models were quite dissimilar to the Gibson LP models. The more modern looking LP models were introduced in 1976 with the emergence of the Studio Lord and Lord Player models. Inane selves very similar to the Gibson models, the lord Player even had the open book Gibson like headstock and was almost identical to the Gibson Les Paul model.
Nevertheless, despite the issues with copy right and patents etc, these Yamaha guitar are sought after instruments due to their quality an versatility.
For details of all guitars pls look on the “About” Page on the right column, with links to each guitar model.
