WAL Mk1 Bass (Fretless, 1985, American Walnut)

Here a cool  Fretless WAL Mk 1 Bass Guitar Model built in 1985, a handmade guitar from electric woods company put together from a great mixture of exotic woods including a mahogany core and American Walnut facings. The fretboard is a solid slab of hard African ebony  fretboard. There are no markers or lines to depict the positions.  This is a cool looking bass and like my fretted  WAL Basses, it is a great player too. Notable Fretless WAL players include the inimitable Mick Karn.  WAL Basses were once commonplace throughout the 1980s with a number of bands and music styles.
