This particular model, unlike the earlier SG-2000 models, has coil taps, giving an enormous tonal range and variation. This particular guitar is good and lives in its original case. New to my collection and a mate of the rare green Yamaha SG-2000s, a stunning Yamaha SG-2000s in translucent tobacco sunburst, it came in excellent collector grade condition. This is the -s variant denoted Yamaha SG-2000s due to the slimmer and more tapered neck and the different electrics, i.e. Coil Taps for the tone pots. The Standard SG-2000, when it was launched in 1976, came without that and only got kitted out with C/T after 1984.
