New to collection, a Gibson LP Supreme from 2012. Since the arrival of a sunburst finish on its carved maple top in 1958, the Gibson Les Paul Standard has been considered one of the most sought after electric guitars. Occasionally examples of these guitars from 1958-60 turn up showing off figured wood under ‘burst finishes, setting a standard for aficionados. This Gibson Les Paul Supreme in a cool tiger eye finish emulates that a bit. Here we have a 2012 flame top in translucent black built from mahogany, maple and ebony fingerboard. Unlike other Les Paul models, there are no back plates for access to electrics etc, and neither is there a pick guard. The electrics have been applied via the enlarged jack socket cavity and via the pick up routes. The headstock also has an decorative globe motif. All in all a cool guitar. Guitars lives in its fitted case.
