Yamaha music corporation has produced a great number of high quality instruments, notably guitars and similarly basses. The main basses from the early Yamaha years were the SB range or Super bass or the BB range , known as the Broad Bass. Modern Basses include the RBX etc. And the Attitude range, made famous by Billy Sheehan

Here an SB-75, from a user manual/warranty form and an old 1974 price tag of 80,000 Yen, equating to $705 US  in 1974 !!
