Here something different, a great looking Les Paul semi hollow short scale bass, the Memphis model. Built 2015, Despite the negative press some 2015 Les Paul models received, this plays superb and looks cool too. For a short scale Bass it’s very versatile. The short scale make it very easy to handle as well as the weight which is a mere 3.5 kgs. The hum-buckers are good too and provide a nice punchy sound. In over drive the bass does produce a great sound well too.
Gibson Les Paul Bass
Rare active bass in my collection, Gibson Les Paul Custom Active Bass made 1995 in lovely Hi-Gloss Tobacco Sunburst. Like its LP guitar counterpart, it features a carved maple top, plus a chambered mahogany body and ebony fingerboard. however, it lacks a toggle switch for the pickups
Hot TB Plus pickups provide expanded lows, crisp highs, and distinctive midrange you won’t find in any other pickup through combinations of the phase in/out Vol/Tone you can get an extensive range of volume and tone. The polished lacquer brings the traditional, translucent sunburst colours to life.
