New to collection, a “good wood” Gibson LP Supreme from 2004. Since the arrival of a sunburst finish on its carved maple top in 1958, the Gibson Les Paul Standard has been considered one of the the nicest looking solid electric guitars on the planet. Occasionally vintage examples of these guitars from 1958-60 turn up showing off gorgeously figured wood under ‘burst finishes, setting a standard for the partnering of of art and luthiery. The Gibson USA Les Paul Supreme is a bit of that in a more recent setting a figured top and classic Les Paul design, for a guitar of great beauty. Here we have a flame maple top in red with a great finish with mahogany and ebony. Great guitar in the collection.
