This 1979 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail boasts a natural wood finish on a relatively lightweight alder body and a rosewood fretboard. This stock Fender guitar is industrially well made despite the brand’s quality issues in the 1970s. It plays exceptionally well, with all standard chrome hardware functioning properly and the electronics operating seamlessly. The finish has aged to a slight yellow, giving it the appearance of satinwood. It’s both visually striking and an excellent performer. The neck’s wood has matured to a deep, rich hue, adding to its dark satin finish. Overall, it’s a cool guitar with an abundance of character.
