Here the flagship guitar of Gibson’s Guitar development, the 1978 Gibson RD Artist D – Rare Gibson guitar and top of the range 1970s guitar with factory fitted Moog electronics circuit. This is the 1978 version of one of the most ambitious Gibson electric guitars, designed by Gibsons R& D team, hence the prefix RD Artist. The guitar is a pandoras box with all the sound goodies everyone wants. In a way you could see, it’s a fusion between Gibson Recording and Firebird. Simply stunning sound. In addition to simple tone volume, it has a ” Bright” switch and “Expander / compression” circuits. The bridge is a standard and the Stop Tail is a fine-tuning factory fitted P-6 unit. Plays great and keeps very well in tune. Lives in its rectangular hard case.
