Gibson Les Paul Standard (2020, Vermillion Burst)

Here a quality guitar from the Gibson stable, a great looking Slash signature model in Vermillion Sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard model. Great guitar with a super red/black flame type top on it. This guitar has seen hardly any use at all and has nearly no marks to body and is therefore in great condition. Even the pick-guard was not fitted and no drill holes are present on the body.  The overall playability is superb and the guitar has a cool look about it. The construction is solid mahogany back and neck, maple cap (AAA grade) and very dark rosewood fingerboard. There’s no weight relief to the bodies, so these are hefty beasts; averaging around  4.3kg. Set up nice and low it plays like butter. Lives in its tan coloured case.

Gibson Flying V Custom Shop (2014, Custom, Black)

Here a Custom Shop, Gibson Flying V Custom in black with fancy block inlays. Spotted this Custom V  and had to get it, turns out a hell of a great sound , clean etc, and also quite crunchy when put in overdrive. Despite the quite flat wide neck, the guitar plays superb and I consider it one of the best playing Vs. The strings are placed in a body thru fashion giving it more sustain. Guitar lives in its custom case, built like a boat.

Gibson Les Paul Classic (Seafoam Green, 2015)

Posted by Elite Vintage Guitars - Gearpage on 28/10/2023
Posted in: Gibson Les Paul Classic. Tagged: Gibson Les Paul Classic. Leave a comment

Here we have a different type Gibson Les Paul, a Classic, 2015 with a Seafoam Green top. Cool looking guitar with a typical classic slim 60s neck profile and 2 Humbuckers pickups.  The neck and back as the headstock are simply varnished and the top is the only finished part. The electrics are non-standard for a Les Paul and comprise some 2015 Les Paul Classic features and a number of innovations Gibson added to that year’s guitars, including GForce robot tuners, an adjustable Zero Fret, and the 3 knob/mini toggle control setup. The 2015 Classic also features ‘57 Classic/Super ’57 humbuckers. A deviation of the standard 2-Vol/2-Tone arrangement. The guitar has a good playing feel and plays easy with its smooth neck. Guitar lives in its rectangular aluminium hard-case.

Here a great looking silver burst Gibson Les Paul Standard model made in 2022. This model is also known as the Adam Jones Les Paul Standard Gibson, a musical part of the British band Tool. Great guitar with a seemingly colour changing sparkly top on it. It’s an average weight body (4.1 Kgs) and made to a high standard and with good materials. This guitar has hardly seen any use and has no marks to body. The overall playability is superb. Set up nice and low so it plays like butter. Lives in its Gibson case.

Fender Telecaster Custom (1966, Three-Tone Sunburst)

Here a an uncommon Fender Telecaster Custom in Three-tone Sunburst made in USA 1966. Great  vintage with all the trimmings and including a factory Fender ashtray still on it. The guitar is in great  condition.  Great looker with double binding on the front and back of the body topped off with a maple neck with a rose fingerboard. The guitar sounds great and although it’s the CBS year it is well put together and a good player, as you would expect from a classic Telecaster. Collectible machine to the max and great player alike You can find Tele’s in many colours, however, the three tone sunburst seems to be a hard to find specimen. As said the guitar is in great nick and the finish has developed some checking, whereas there are some but minor wear marks on the pick-guard from actual playing. Guitar lives in a period correct case.

Rickenbacker 330 (2010, Metallic Purple)

Here a Rickenbacker 330 in Purple Metallic, made in USA in 2010 and is a stunning guitar. The 330 design appeared in the 1960s and has been updated over time to incorporate modern upgrades like Schaller tuners and Hi-gain pickups. The guitar has a classic sound and has the now well recognisable Rickenbacker look. The sound is quite twangy and made a a house hold tone by bands like the Jam in the 1980s. The neck has an easy accessible 24 3/4″ Scale Length, a bit shorter than the average Fender Strat, but bang on the Gibson LP range. The guitar body and neck are typically made of maple and the fingerboard is lacquered rose wood. Tuners are Schaller chrome type tuners. Guitar lives in its hard case

Gibson Les Paul Supreme (Orange Flame, 2012)

Gibson LP Supreme from 2012. Since the arrival of a sunburst finish on its carved maple top in 1958, the Gibson Les Paul Standard has been considered one of the most sought after electric guitars. Occasionally examples of these guitars from 1958-60 turn up showing off figured wood under ‘burst finishes, setting a standard for aficionados. This Gibson Les Paul Supreme in a fiery orange flame finish emulates that a bit.  Unlike other Les Paul models, there are no back plates for access to electrics etc, and neither is there a pick guard. The electrics have been applied via the enlarged jack socket cavity and via the pick up routes. The headstock also has an decorative globe motif. All in all a cool guitar. Guitars lives in its fitted and lined case.

Here another guitar from the Gibson stable, an Ocean Burst  Gibson Les Paul Traditional  model, Made in 2015 as part of the 100-year Gibson issues. Great guitar with a fine top on it. This guitar was made in USA in 2015, and came originally with G-force robot tuners which have since been replaced by Jimmy Egypt and who also added the string Butler to guide the strings over the zero-fret. This guitar has seen little  or no use use and has only polishing marks to body and is in great overall condition. A small mark is found on the on the back of the body where a drop od solder must have landed. The overall playability is superb and the guitar has a nice feel about it, aided by the fact that it has a chambered body and an asymmetrical C-shaped 50s neck. Set up nice and low, it plays like butter. The guitar lives in its aluminium rectangular hard case.

Fender Jaguar (2019, Cream, Johnny Marr Signature Model)

Posted by Elite Vintage Guitars - Gearpage on 13/07/2023
Posted in: Fender Jaguar. Leave a comment

The Fender Jaguar is an electric guitar made by Fender and characterized by an offset-waist body, a relatively unusual switching system with two separate circuits for lead and rhythm, and a short-scale 24″ neck. The Jaguar was taken out of production in 1975, and vintage Jaguars became popular first with American punk rock players, and then more so during the alternative rock and indie rock movements of the 1980s and 1990s.
Here a Jaguar based on Johnny Marr’s 1965 Jaguar model with some special features such as the 2 bare knuckle pickups. The Johnny Marr’s signature Jaguar also, has in stead of a slider switch, a special four-way blade pickup switch on the lower horn, and controls the bridge pickup alone, the bridge and neck pickups in parallel, the neck pickup alone, and the neck and bridge pickups. More electric wizardry, in the upper horn of the Johnny Marr Jaguar features two slide switches—a “universal” bright switch that kicks everything up a notch or two, and a separate bright switch that only affects the “series” pickup switch position. All in all a great guitar, very playable and cool to look at too.

Gibson Les Paul Custom (Silverburst, 1978)

Posted by Elite Vintage Guitars - Gearpage on 05/07/2023
Posted in: Gibson Les Paul Custom. Tagged: Gibson Les Paul Custom. Leave a comment

Here a cool  Gibson Les Paul Custom. It’s a 1978 Silverburst  model and is a superb example of a fine solid body guitar. The guitar is in fair condition with some discoloration and fading to a goldish look, down to aging of the lacquer and oxidation of the silver flake used in the paint. There is also an ample bit of yellowing of the binding across the guitar and headstock. This beast is, with its killer looks and awesome sound also a real winner. The fretboard is a very fine grain ebony, which in places has worn away a bit. Th frets themselves are original frets with the binding nibs still present, however, the low frets make the guitar play like a fretless wonder. The guitar balances quite well and the neck plays very well. Guitar lives in a black coloured chainsaw hard-case.
