Yamaha SG-1000-24 (1983, Wine Red)

Unusual and stunning Yamaha SG-1000-24  in translucent wine red finish. Of all the set neck type Yamaha SGs, this is a rare 2-octave 24-fret version. The SG-1000-24 is an upgrade from the SG-1000 and this model like all early SG-1000 models is kitted out with Alnico V  high output Pick ups. This guitar is a gem, ebony fingerboard inlaid with pearloid fret markers. Despite being 30+ years old, guitar is in real good condition with, only some tarnishing of the brass hardware creating a nice patina and giving the guitar ounces of mojo. Like most SGs, this guitar is quite heavy, Tonewise this particular model is kitted out with coil taps, giving an enormous range and variation. Weight of guitar approx. 4.4 Kgs, neck width at nut approx. 4.2 cm..
