Gibson Les Paul Standard (2014, Blueberryburst)

Here a great looking Blueberry burst Gibson Les Paul Standard model made in 2014. Great guitar with a seemingly colour changing flame type top on it. Its an average weight body (3.9 Kgs) and made to a high standard and with good materials. This guitar has seen nearly no use at all and has some but very minor  marks to body. The overall playability is superb. Set up nice and low so it plays like butter. Lives in its tan coloured Gibson case.

Here another cool blue guitar from the Gibson stable, a great looking  Blue-burst Gibson Les Paul Standard model 2016. Great guitar with an understated flame type top on it. Its a lighter weight body (3.7 Kgs) than the earlier ones from 2005 but still made to a high standard and with good materials. This guitar has seen nearly no use at all and has some but very minor  marks to body. The overall playability is superb. Set up nice and low so it plays like butter. Lives in its tan coloured Gibson case.

Yamaha SG-500 (1977, Black)

Here a 1977 Yamaha SG-500 in electric guitar. The SG-500 was the entry level SG in the mid 1970s and the smallest brother of the well known SG-2000. These models were made from Agathis (Asian mahogany) for the body and likewise with a mahogany set neck, rosewood fretboard with split mother of pearl position markers, Chrome Hardware and Tuning pegs in Gotoh style, with a plain stoptail. The sound is comes from 2 Humbucker pickups, with black surrounds. Yamaha SG-500s were made in translucent red and black during the period 1976-79 and were good solid guitars in their own right.

Gibson Les Paul Standard, DC (Flame Trans Amber, 2006)

Posted by Elite Vintage Guitars - Gearpage on 04/06/2022
Posted in: Gibson Les Paul DC. Tagged: Gibson Les Paul DC. Leave a comment

Here a lovely Les Paul DC Standard in flame trans amber from the second DC standard series and made in USA in 2006. A classy looking Flame finish on nicely figured maple top, capping off a double-cut Mahogany body. Interestingly, this hasty3 little crown inlay in the face of the headstock, which featured on a number of LPs andLP DCs during 2004-2006. Slim profile set Mahogany neck, topped with an unbound 22-fret Rosewood board. Tone is  supplied by a set of hum-buckers with 3-way switch and master volume and tone. Gold hardware, including Grover tuners. All original with no mods, breaks, or repairs. Guitar is in great condition with only minor play.  Guitar lives in its plush hard case.

Gibson Les Paul Supreme (Tigereye Flame, 2012)

Posted by Elite Vintage Guitars - Gearpage on 18/05/2022
Posted in: Gibson Les Paul Supreme. Tagged: Gibson Les Paul Supreme. Leave a comment

Gibson LP Supreme from 2012. Since the arrival of a sunburst finish on its carved maple top in 1958, the Gibson Les Paul Standard has been considered one of the most sought after electric guitars. Occasionally examples of these guitars from 1958-60 turn up showing off figured wood under ‘burst finishes, setting a standard for aficionados. This Gibson Les Paul Supreme in a cool tiger eye finish emulates that a bit. Here we have a 2012 flame top in translucent black built from mahogany, maple and ebony fingerboard. Unlike other Les Paul models, there are no back plates for access to electrics etc, and neither is there a pick guard. The electrics have been applied via the enlarged jack socket cavity and via the pick up routes. The headstock also has an decorative globe motif. All in all a cool guitar. Guitars lives in its fitted case.

Gibson Les Paul Custom (Cream, 1991, Lefty)

Here a cool left hand Gibson Les Paul Custom in lightly faded Cream. It’s a 1991 issue model and another superb Les Paul Custom model. The guitar is in a great condition with very little marking and only minor tarnishing to the gold hardware giving it some real patina. With its heavy feel and killer looks, and awesome sound it is a real winner.  The fretboard is smooth and dark ebony and the mahogany neck plays fast and fluid. Guitar lives in its original brown faux leather hard-case.

Here another cool blue guitar from the Gibson stable, a great looking  Blue-burst Gibson Les Paul Standard model. Great guitar with an understated flame type top on it.  Its a lighter weight body (3.9 Kgs) than the earlier ones from 2005 but still made to a high standard and with good materials. This guitar has seen nearly no use at all and has some but very minor  marks to body. The overall playability is superb. Set up nice and low so it plays like butter. Lives in its  black Gibson case.

Here another ” Black Beauty” Gibson Les Paul Custom in black. It’s a 1970 issue model and is a sought after model. The guitar is in fair condition with the usual playwear and a few dents and scrapes and a bit of tarnishing of the nickel giving it patina and mojo. With its comfortable  feel and cool looks, and its awesome sound it is a real winner.  The fretboard is a dark rosewood and the mahogany neck plays light and fluid. Guitar lives in its red lined hard-case.

Gibson Explorer Pro (2002, Flame Amber)

Posted in: Gibson Explorer. Tagged: Gibson Explorer. Leave a comment

On show a 2002 Gibson Explorer Pro in a Flame Amber finish, a limited edition featuring an ebony fingerboard and a sleek, flat body. This guitar boasts an amber two-piece book-matched flame top, a bound, small-bodied Explorer with Les Paul Custom-style inlays on the ebony fingerboard, and a cherry red finished mahogany back, sides, and neck. The neck has a great feel, reminiscent of the slim ’59 profile, wide with large frets. Aesthetically pleasing, this 100% original, unaltered guitar includes the original hard shell case and paperwork. Despite its angular look, it is well-balanced and plays smoothly. Such Explorers have contributed to the iconic sound of U-2. Created in 1957, Explorers, along with Flying Vs and the scarce Modernes, are now sought-after collectibles. This particular piece resides in its rectangular hard case.

Fender Stratocaster Plus (1993, Tobacco Sunburst)

Posted in: Fender Stratocaster Plus. Tagged: Fender Stratocaster Plus. Leave a comment

Here we have a 1993 Fender American Stratocaster Plus in Tobacco Sunburst. This is a Fender Strat with Lace Sensors pick ups for reduced hum and guitar feedback. (Lace Sensors are true single-coil pickups; that are different from classic single coils. The main difference is that, like the pickups used on the old Fender Jags, the coil is surrounded by metal barriers which are designed to reduce electro-magnetic interference such as power line hum by way of shielding the coils).  Defo one of the Strats. Very responsive guitar and easy to play. Lovely tobacco sunburst aged coloured  finish with a rosewood fingerboard. Good condition, vintage vibe. there are no significant marks or dents. The guitar lives in its Fender hard-case.

Here a cool guitar from the Gibson stable, a great looking  Blue-burst Gibson Les Paul Standard model. Great guitar with an understated flame type top on it. Although it’s a 15+  year old guitar it is in great condition and the pick guard was never fitted. These models from 2005 were issued as a limited issue of about 275 units and fall in the category of the so called good wood guitars, when Gibson guitars were apparently made to a high standard and from good materials. This guitar has seen good use at all and has some but no major marks to body. The overall playability is superb. Set up nice and low so it plays like butter. Lives in its black Gibson case.
