Here a cool single pick up WAL Pro1E Bass from 1980, with serial number PB1501. Its a handmade bass guitar from Electric Woods Company and built arounds an English Ash slab body and neck. The fretboard is made of rosewood, with mother of pearl dot markers. This is a cool looking bass, albeit a bit odd due to its single pick up configuration. However, it is a great player and the sound of this single pickup tone monster is not too shabby. Notable WAL players include the inimitable Mick Karn. WAL Basses were once commonplace throughout the 1980s with a number of bands and music styles. This bass lives in its flimsy 3-hinge plastic WAL case.
