This 1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe is fine solid body guitar with the standard sized body, and the factory embossed mini humbucker pick ups. The guitar has been played and shows some genuine wear on the back. The hardware is chrome, giving it that proper patina. It is one of nicest guitars to play in the collection. Serial dates the guitar to 1972. These Gibson’s were made during the 1960s, 1970s and have become more collectible in recent years. There have also been some reissues.
Therefore we have here a gorgeous original Gibson Les Paul. Just a bit lighter than a custom but very easy to handle and a smooth neck profile. The guitar is an old school LP design and sound wise it is awesome as the Mini Humbuckers produce a great sound. The fret board is proper quality rose wood, which coupled with the slim tapered neck make for a “fast” guitar. Guitar lives in its beaten up hard-case.

Hello,
I stumbled upon your website while researching images for 1972 vintage Les Paul guitars. I was trying to determine whether the “chainsaw” type case you show in these pictures was original to Les Pauls from that year. Incidentally, in 1984 I sold an identical 1972 Les Paul with that same chainsaw case to Gelb Music in Redwood City, California. I don’t suppose there’s any chance it’s the same guitar? 🙂
