New to my collection and a mate of the rare green Yamaha SG-2000s, a stunning Yamaha SG-2000s in translucent tobacco sunburst, it came in excellent collector grade condition. This is the -s variant denoted Yamaha SG-2000s due to the slimmer and more tapered neck and the different electrics, i.e. Coil Taps for the tone pots. The Standard SG-2000, when it was launched in 1976, came without that and only got kitted out with C/T after 1984.
The guitar is heavy, with a genuine thru body neck that shows up beautifully in the dark brown, brass sustain plate under the bridge and an ebony fret-board with abalone split wing fret markers. The guitar came with original case, and accessory tools and Yamaha labelled guitar cloth. Weight of guitar approx. 4.4 Kgs, neck width at nut approx. 4.3 cm.
